Potts strikes scintillating unbeaten ton

Matthew Potts struck a magnificent unbeaten century as the Seconds won one & lost one of their opening Second XI T20 matches against Warwickshire at Moseley CC.

The all-rounder opened in the second fixture & made 101 off just 59 balls in a partnership worth 181 with Ryan Pringle, who smashed 91 0ff 54.

Potts also made an unbeaten 43 in the first innings, making it an incredible week of scoring with the bat.

After making 62* & 42* against Yorkshire in the Second XI match at Emerald Headingley & striking an unbeaten 94 for Sacriston in the North East Premier League, Potts has scored an incredible 342 runs without dismissal in the last week.

The Seconds were able to defend 203 in the second match against Warwickshire, with Matt Salisbury taking 4/26 with two wickets for George Harding & one apiece for Pringle & Gareth Harte.

Pringle also hit form in the first game, scoring 74 off 45 balls as they fell short in chasing Warwickshire’s total of 209/3.
