Head Coach Geoff Cook said, “I’m delighted that Liam has accepted an extension to his present contract. 2011 has been a frustrating season for him through injury and loss of form but I am sure that he is determined to work hard to recapture his past performance levels.”
On signing his new contract Liam Plunkett said, “I’m really happy to be staying at Durham and excited about my future. I’m committed to work through the winter to make sure I go into next season in the best possible form so I can secure myself a regular first team place.
“The Durham team is a great one to be part of and I want to be contributing match winning performances that continue to bring the club long term success.”
