Ollie Robinson and Lizzie Scott picked up as Hundred Wildcards

All eight teams in The Hundred have now confirmed their full squads as the Vitality Wildcard selections in the men’s competition and the final round of signings in the women’s competition have been announced, with Durham’s Ollie Robinson and Lizzie Scott selected.

Ollie Robinson will represent the Northern Supercharges and is picked on the back of a strong T20 Blast competition with Durham where he was Durham’s leading run scorer with 380 runs and four half-centuries.

Seamer Lizzie Scott has earned her first call up to the Hundred having been drafted by Oval Invincibles having impressed with the ball for the Northern Diamonds and North East Warriors this term.

Robinson joins 5 other Durham mens players who will feature in the Hundred this season. Ben Stokes, Brydon Carse and Matthew Potts have all been retained with the Northern Superchargers based in Leeds while Mark Wood has been named as the London Spirit’s ECB Central Contracted player. Nathan Sowter has also been retained by the Oval Invincibles.

Other names signed in the Vitality Wildcard Draft include Tawanda Muyeye, who joins Chappell at Oval Invincibles, John Turner – who heads to Trent Rockets, Chris Cooke who’ll be at home in Cardiff for Welsh Fire and England seamer Matt Fisher, who joins Southern Brave.

Two local players are heading to Birmingham Phoenix, Henry Brookes and Jacob Bethell, while Durham wicketkeeper Ollie Robinson will link up with Northern Superchargers.

Indian wicketkeeper Ghosh joins London Spirit as a replacement for the injured Georgia Redmayne, with Oval Invincibles’ Tash Farrant and Trent Rockets’ Emma Jones replaced by Lizzie Scott and Cassidy McCarthy respectively. Leah Dobson has replaced Phoebe Franklin at Northern Superchargers.
