Durham spinner Nathan Sowter has been picked up by Sharjah Warriorz in the 2025 DP World ILT20 draft.
Sharjah Warriorz roped in leg-spinner Nathan Sowter for 100,000 USD and South African all-rounder Dwaine Pretorius at USD 120,000. They also locked in pacers Jayden Seales and Taskin Ahmed at 80,000 USD each.
Sowter will also link up with the likes of Tim Southee, Tim David and Sikandar Raza as the 32-year-old is set for a third stint in the ILT20, having spent the previous two years with the Desert Vipers.
The leg-spinner has shone since joining Durham taking 58 wickets in the Vitality Blast in his three full seasons since his permanent move from Middlesex.
The Australian-born cricketer will look to continue his success on the franchise circuit having won Player of the Match in The Hundred final in 2025 as the Oval Invincibles lifted the title for the third successive time.
The DP World ILT20 gets underway on Tuesday 2 December and the Sharjah Warriorz’ first match is against the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Wednesday 3 December.
