“It was a bit frustrating, when we turned up today we thought we were going to get a full game in but the weather came in late on and spoilt a good game of cricket”, said wicket keeper Phil Mustard.
Mustard continued his consistent one day form with a score of 50 before a mix up with Ben Harmison at the crease which saw him run out.
“It’s nice to keep scoring well, I’ve not had a bad Pro40 campaign really but I was disappointed to get run out. But, these things happen and hopefully next time we’ll have a bit more communication”, he added.
Shivnarine Chanderpaul also posted his first half century for Durham this season, “Shiv is a different class when he comes out, he is just so relaxed, he’s a great guy to know is coming in at four or five, you’re always confident he can get a decent score”, Mustard said.
The Dynamos travel to Hove next week for a floodlit match against Sussex Sharks who have won three out of four of their forty over games so far in the competiton.
“It’s quite a flat pitch and the bowlers are going to get tested again and hopefully they can take a few lessons from the match against Hampshire and put them into practice in the next match. We always feel like we’re in the game but we got off to a bit of a bad start on Sunday, hopefully we can put that right next time and that Duckworth Lewis doesn’t come into it”, he said.
