Mia Rogers signs contract extension

Durham Cricket are delighted to announce that Mia Rogers has penned a one-year contract extension.

After a breakthrough opening season in Chester-le-Street, Rogers has signed a deal lasting until the end of the 2027 season.

The 24-year-old wicketkeeper-batter showed her lightning-quick glovework skills during her first season in the North East, claiming six stumpings in the Vitality Blast – including three in a 6-run victory over Somerset at Banks Homes Riverside.

Rogers also made an impact with the bat in the 2025 campaign, top scoring with an unbeaten 66, her maiden professional half-century, in the One Day Cup as Durham beat Essex by six wickets in Chelmsford.

The Berkshire pathway product has spent her winter playing club cricket for Geelong in Australia, impressing with the bat for the Victoria-based side scoring three fifties in seven matches.

Marcus North, Director of Cricket, said: “We’re absolutely delighted that Mia has committed her future to Durham.

“From the moment she arrived at Chester-le-Street, she’s brought real energy, professionalism and quality to the group. Her performances last season showed exactly why we believe she has such a bright future in the game.

“Securing her first full professional contract until 2027 is another positive step for the club as we build a competitive and ambitious squad for the future.”

On extending her stay with Durham, Mia Rogers said: “I am beyond excited and grateful to continue my journey at Durham. I am eager to keep pushing this group forward together.”
