Local talent flourishing on and off the field for Durham

Nurturing local talent has been core to the Durham County Cricket Club ethos for 21 years and the Club have taken another step to enhance their off field team, with Tom Seymour being promoted to become the clubs new Sales Director.

Well known in the North East, Tom first joined Durham CCC in 2009 and his impressive work with Durham CCC business partners as Corporate Sales Manager has seen him earn his new role as Sales Director.

Durham CCC Group Chief Executive David Harker: “We are delighted to see Tom’s development over recent years. We feel we already have some excellent links with many North East, national and international businesses with strong relationships that have developed over the years.”

“We are keen to give Tom the opportunity to further develop these links but also to create and build his own new relationships among the North East’s business community and beyond.”

Tom Seymour on his new role:

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time here at Durham and I am really grateful that David (Harker) and the Clubs management team have given me this opportunity, to develop my career.

I am looking to use this momentous year for the Club as a springboard to develop links and relationships with our partners and organisations in order to enhance Durham CCC’s business network.”

“We already have an excellent network and strong existing relationships and I’m keen to work with all these organisations to build partnerships and take Durham CCC to the next level.”

Tom’s promotion follows in the footsteps of Durham County Cricket Club’s own off field management restructure ahead of the biggest year in the clubs history. The club celebrates its 21st Birthday, hosts its first Investec Ashes Test match and Durham CCC themselves will be competing on all three front for County Cricket glory.
