Lions roar through GNR!

Chester & River sped through last weekend’s Great North Run in double-quick time!

Our lion mascots got around the 13.1 mile course in 2 hours & 52 minutes, defying the warm weather & joining a number of other finishers running for Durham CCC Foundation.

Foundation manager Josie Pointon was joined by Matt Smith, Tom Smith, Ythan Sale, Kate Douglass & Jackie Bidwell, with Luke & Paul Bidwell sporting the mascot costumes.

The runners have raised nearly £2,000 for the Foundation with donations still coming in.

The money will help the Foundation to continue to deliver their range of health & social lessons across the North East community.

Donations can be made via the JustGiving page.
