Durham and England quick bowler Lauren Filer has been signed by Birmingham Phoenix for the 2026 edition of the Hundred.
Filer has been signed as a “Direct Signing” having previously played for Manchester Originals in the ECB’s short format competition.
The direct signing of Filer will see the 25-year-old feature for her fourth Hundred franchise having previously played for London Spirit, Manchester Originals and Welsh Fire.
Filer is the fourth Birmingham Phoenix Women’s player to be included in their squad for the sixth season of the tournament following the retention of Ellyse Perry and the signing of former MI London all-rounder Alice Capsey, along with the direct signing of Australian Lucy Hamilton.
The Bristol born seamer has played 26 times in the Hundred picking up 18 wickets with a best of 3-8.
