Latham lands ahead of One-Day Cup opener

Royal London One-Day Cup captain Tom Latham has touched down in the North East ahead of Friday’s floodlit opener against Yorkshire Vikings at Emirates Riverside.

The New Zealand international landed on Sunday evening & will begin his second stint as the Club’s overseas player when the Vikings visit.

Latham proved a huge hit last year, scoring a century on his first-class debut & adding impetus at the top of the Vitality Blast batting order.

He comes off the back of a busy winter with the national side, starring during the limited overs series in India & featuring against England, Australia, Pakistan & West Indies on home turf.

The left-hander awaits the arrival of his team mates back from the current match in Derbyshire before they plot their path to the flagship Lord’s final on Saturday, 30 June.

Tickets for Friday’s opening Royal London One-Day Cup match (2pm start) are available online, priced at £12 adults & £5 juniors.
