Durham won the toss and elected to bat on the opening day as they looked to build a commanding score. Durham progressed to 303-7 before declaring after facing 81 over’s. There was also 21overs lost to rain throughout the day.
Contributors for Durham included a Garry Park unbeaten century, finishing on 115 not out, and joining him at the close Lee Goddard on 60 not out. Ben Harmison and Mark Stoneman contributed 49 and 48 respectively as Durham progressed steadily during day one.
Day two was more disappointing as rain lead to another full day of play being lost. Play will resume tomorrow at 11.00am as Durham look to finish the game with a strong performance in the field.
Day 3 didnt provide any more play as rain returned with not a ball being bowled the whole day.
