Katie Levick pens three-year Durham deal

Durham Cricket are thrilled to announce Katie Levick will join the Club on a three-year deal ahead of the 2025 season.

An experienced leg-spinner, Levick joins Durham on a deal running through until at least the end of the 2027 season.

One of the domestic games most successful bowlers, Levick has taken 372 all format wickets across her career, having represented Northern Superchargers, Northern Diamonds, Yorkshire and Birmingham Phoenix.

She claimed 63 wickets for the Northern Diamonds over 2022 and 2023 – the most of any bowler in regional cricket over two seasons.

Levick has gone from strength to strength in The Hundred since moving to Birmingham Phoenix in 2023, having claimed 34 wickets with a best of 3/24 having represented the Superchargers and the West Midlands side.

Her wicket tally of 11 in the 2023 edition of the Hundred was only bettered by Georgia Adams, while the leg-spinner claimed 10 poles in the most recent women’s Hundred.

On joining Durham, Levick said: “I’m delighted to be joining Durham in this historic new chapter at the club.

“The North East has a long proud history of sporting achievements and to now add women’s professional cricket to that is something I can’t wait to be even a small part of.

“Marcus and the whole staff at Durham have such a passionate vision for this squad and era of women’s cricket, it’s simply an honour to be involved.

“The desire to compete at the highest level still motivates and excites me, I hope to bring silverware and success to the county with the amazing group of players we’re assembling.”

Director of Cricket, Marcus North said: “We are delighted to have secured the signing of Katie Levick to Durham on a long-term deal.

“Katie’s achievements with the ball for many years have been outstanding and her domestic record is one of the best in the Country.

“She will bring wealth of experience to Durham and will play an integral part in establishing our Women’s Team on and off the field.

“We are thrilled to welcome her to Durham as we continue to put our squad together.”
