Junior Fan Club Christmas Party

Chester himself was joined by Durham players Will Gidman, Mitchell Claydon, Ben Harmison, Gordon Muchall, Callum Thorp and Phil Mustard for the night. Junior Fan Club Members started in the indoor cricket school with a game of kwik cricket where the Durham players were split between the teams to get a bit of competition going!

Junior fan Club members held there own though hitting Durham’s first team fast bowlers to all parts! The lads didn’t let up on each other either, and a bit of extra effort went in when bowling against there Durham colleagues!

The fan club were then taken on a tour around the ground, getting to see inside the changing rooms and behind the scenes in the media centre before returning to Austin’s Bistro for a well earned break and a bite to eat.

The players then did an autograph session and every child was given a bat and poster to be signed by their Durham heroes. They all then posed for photos as fan club members got an extra souvenir of the tremendous night.

After a quick ice cream break, the raffle took place with fan club members each given a chance to win some fantastic prizes. After the chocolate selection boxes two lucky fan club members got to take home the star prizes, a Durham Twenty20 shirt and one of the first editions of the Durham Monopoly board game.

Overall a tremendous night was had by all and it was a great way to start the run up to Christmas for the Junior fan club members.
