James Franklin does the Great North Run

Durham Cricket’s Lead High Performance Coach, James Franklin, is donning his trainers and running this year’s Great North Run in aid of Durham Cricket’s charitable arm.

Franklin, will partake in this years Simplyhealth Great North Run.

Usually renowned for his cricketing words of wisdom and ability, this time he will switch to his trainers as he tackles the 13.1 miles from Newcastle’s city centre to the coast in South Shields, raising money for the Durham Cricket Foundation.

Durham Cricket have a strong team of nine runners joining James from the club staff and the wider cricketing community, however due to this Autumn’s busy cricket schedule, unfortunately none of the players were able to feature this year.

The Durham Cricket Foundation is based at Emirates Riverside and uses the beautiful game of cricket to inspire learning, promote healthy living and improve the employability of people in the region.
