James Franklin and Neil Killeen take up coaching roles in the Hundred

Durham Cricket are pleased to confirm that James Franklin and Neil Killeen have taken up coaching roles in the Hundred for this years inaugural competition.

Franklin will join Birmingham Phoenix and will be based at Edgbaston with Killeen taking on a coaching role with the Northern Supercharges at Headingley.

The appointments for Durham’s Lead High Performance Coach and Assistant Lead will provide opportunities to work with some of the worlds best cricketers, giving then the chance to develop their skills, ultimately benefiting Durham in the long term.

Birmingham Phoenix kick off their campaign on Friday 23 July hosting London Spirit with Northern Superchargers taking on Welsh Fire one day later on Saturday 24 July at Headingley.

Marcus North, Director of Cricket, said: “This a fantastic opportunity for both James and Neil to work in the ECB’s new and exciting competition this summer.

“Spending a month with two new teams in Birmingham Phoenix and Northern Supercharges will give them a chance to work with some top coaches and international players, which in the long run should benefit Durham moving forward.

“I wish James and Neil the best of luck working in the Hundred this summer and know they will massively benefit by being appointed to these two new roles.”
