Jack Blatherwick and Jake Ball join Durham on loan

Durham Cricket can announce the loan signings of Jack Blatherwick and Jake Ball.

The Lancashire and Somerset seamers join Durham immediately and will be available for selection ahead of tomorrow’s Rothesay County Championship fixture against Worcestershire.

The loans of Blatherwick and Ball comes following the number of injuries within the bowling department as Durham currently have seven bowlers unavailable.

The right-arm quick bowlers will be available for 14 days, starting against Worcestershire tomorrow and next week’s clash against Hampshire at Utilita Bowl.

Director of Cricket, Marcus North said: “It was important that we acted quickly after the number of injuries that we have suffered in such a short space of time.

Going into the loan market was critical for us managing our injuries and current workloads of our bowlers.”
