India proves a hit as tickets sell fast at Emirates Durham

Tickets were released on general sale at 9.00am on Monday morning and the extra staff taken on to deal with the demand haven’t had a moment to themselves.  Tickets in all permanent seating areas are priced at just £45 for adults and £10 for juniors until 18 April 2011, after which they will be increased.

There is now limited availability in the North West Terrace, Don Robson Pavilion and Lower County Durham Stand.

Durham County Cricket Club Director of Marketing, Mark Foster, said, “India was always going to be a huge draw for sports fans in the region. They have been playing brilliant cricket and it’s not surprising that so many people want to see them in action against England on their own doorstep.

“The phones in the Box Office have been ringing nonstop and the staff have been working incredibly hard to ensure people get served as quickly as possible.  The fact that we’re offering all tickets at just £45 for adults and £10 for juniors until April has seen people who wouldn’t normally come along to the cricket rush to buy their tickets in advance to guarantee their place at what promises to be an outstanding day of international sport.”

Tickets for England v India at Emirates Durham ICG on Saturday 3 September would make a fabulous Christmas gift and are now available priced at £45 for adults in all permanent seating areas until 18 April 2011.  Junior tickets are priced at just £10.  Guarantee your seat now by calling the Durham CCC Box Office on 0844 499 4466 or visiting www.durhamccc.co.uk
