Durham Cricket are pleased to announce that Haydon Mustard and Luke Robinson have signed rookie deals with the Club ahead of the 2026 season.
Mustard and Robinson have penned extensions with Durham for at least another two years.
A promising wicketkeeper-batter, Newcastle-born Mustard has two first-class appearances and 16 white ball appearances so far for the Club, impressing with the bat in this summer’s One Day Cup as he closes in on 250 professional runs.
The 19-year-old made his first-class debut and professional T20 debut while in Zimbabwe in 2024, scoring an unbeaten 46* in Durham’s T20 final victory over Eagles in Harare.
Robinson featured in Durham’s One Day Cup campaign with three appearances after claiming five wickets in five matches for Durham Second XI earlier this season.
The 21-year-old Sunderland-born bowler has made 12 white ball appearances for Durham after making his name in 2023, taking 2/28 on T20 debut against Leicestershire, dismissing Lewis Hill and Rishi Patel.
Director of Cricket, Marcus North said: “We are very pleased to announce that two of our current rookie players have extended their contracts with us. We look forward to supporting their development further over the next two years.”
On extending, Robinson said: “It’s a privilege to be able to sign a multi-year deal at my boyhood club.
“I love playing for Durham, and knowing I have another two years here is an amazing feeling. I can’t wait for the next two seasons with this special club, and I look forward to showcasing what I can do.”
Haydon Mustard added: “I’m really pleased to be signing a new contract with Durham.
“I’ve loved my time here so far and I’m excited for what the next two years will bring.
“I’m looking forward to continuing to contribute to the team and building on what we’ve started.”
