Harrison added for Steelbacks visit

Durham Jets head coach Jon Lewis has added Jamie Harrison to the squad for tomorrow night’s NatWest T20 Blast match at Northants Steelbacks (6:30pm start).

The 25-year-old returns to the squad after suffering a slight ankle injury against the Derbyshire Falcons in last week’s Royal London One-Day Cup match.

Lewis welcomes him as an addition to the 12-man squad named to face Nottinghamshire Outlaws in last night’s thrilling encounter.

Keaton Jennings scored 10 from the final two balls to win it for Durham, with Michael Richardson registering a career-best List A score and Paul Collingwood also passing 50.

The squad were back in training this morning ahead of their latest southbound trip this afternoon.

Harrison has taken five wickets in his two First XI appearances this summer, including a career-best 4/40 in List A cricket against Leicestershire, and offers another potential dimension to Jon Lewis’ attack with his left-arm seamers.

Squad vs Northants Steelbacks (17 June): Mark Stoneman (c), Phil Mustard (wk), Scott Borthwick, Jack Burnham, Paul Collingwood, Michael Richardson, Calum MacLeod, Paul Coughlin, Ryan Pringle, Keaton Jennings, Usman Arshad, Chris Rushworth, Jamie Harrison.
