Happy 40th birthday to Paul Collingwood!

All at Durham would like to extend a very happy 40th birthday to current Championship captain and club stalwart Paul Collingwood!

Now in his 20th year of first-class cricket, the one club legend continues to break records for his home county.

In his 191st first-class game for Durham, the most of any player to have represented the county, Collingwood notched his 22nd century to move ahead of Dale Benkenstein in hundreds scored for Durham.

He passed 15,000 first-class runs in the same innings, against Surrey at the Oval, to add to a long list of accolades at county and international level.

As well as captaining Durham to a County Championship title in 2013, the Shotley Bridge man has also won three Ashes series and featured in 68 Test matches for England, scoring over 4,000 runs.

Collingwood is the only man to lift a limited-overs trophy for England, captaining them to victory in the ICC World T20 tournament in 2010, and has the most One-Day International caps (197) for his country alongside 35 T20i appearances.

On top of all of those exceptional accolades, was also named as one of the prestigious Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 2007 alongside fellow England player Monty Panesar.

Last year he celebrated his 39th birthday with a pivotal ton against Worcestershire at New Road and yesterday helped Durham on their way to victory with 44 against Warwickshire.

Happy birthday, Colly!
