Finals Day Place on Offer

Durham will play the biggest match of their short format season tomorrow night when they take on Northants in their Friends Life t20 quarter final at The County Ground in Northampton.

The Dynamos found form at the right end of the season, winning their last four matches in a row to secure a quarter-finals place after finishing one of the ‘best third’ sides with 6 wins.

Their opponents, the Northants finished top of the Midlands, Wales and West group with just one more win than the Dynamos.

There is just the one change to the squad with former England T20 skipper Paul Collingwood included in the 13 man squad.  Collingwood has recovered from a thumb injury which he suffered in the first week of the Friends Life t20 competition and played at the week-end in Durham’s match against Middlesex.

The Dynamos will go into the match confident with a team which has the ability to get to Finals Day at Edgbaston on August 17th.

The in-form Ben Stokes has led with the bat as has opener Phil Mustard and Gordon Muchall whilst a pace attack  featuring Graham Onions and Chris Rushworth is also a match-winning combination.

The match begins at 7.10pm and fans are encouraged to come along to Austins Bar at Emirates Durham ICG from 6pm and join in the festivities with other Durham fans where the match will be shown live on the screens.
