Since the beginning of the FPt20 season in June, Durham fans have been texting in for a chance to compete in the challenge. Three lucky winners were selected at each home game, and their bowling skills put to the test as they attempted to bowl over the stumps during the match interval.
The winners from each semi-final will be confronted with a new cricketing challenge during the Dynamos final t20 match against Northamptonshire Steelbacks on Sunday 18th July, where one winner stands a chance of claiming the £10,000 prize.
Let’s hope that current finalists Hadley Smorthwaite, Adrain Gate, Andrew Grey, Kyle Osbourne and Matt Hodgson have been honing their cricket skills! They will be joined by any winners from the last semi-final, which takes place before the start of play on Sunday.
A Durham spokesperson said, ‘There’s been a very high response to this competition, and we hope the six finalists are ready for the last round. We can’t give away details of what’s in store just yet, but with £10,000 at stake, it’s not going to be easy for them!’
