Fifteen junior teams take part in CWC Trophy Tour at Emirates Riverside

A hundred and fifty junior cricketers took tart in Durham Cricket’s Skills Competition during the ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy Tour at Emirates Riverside on Monday 8 April.

Sunderland Cricket Club topped the table at the end of the day, with a total of 146, closely followed by Beamish and East Stanley Cricket Club. South Northumberland Cricket Club finished third.

Durham Cricket had organised the skills competition in a bid to give local clubs and their junior players an opportunity to experience the buzz of the Cricket World Cup and have their photo taken with the Trophy.

Top Three:

1. Sunderland Cricket Club – 146

2. Beamish and East Stanley Cricket Club – 138

3. South Northumberland Cricket Club – 133
