Everything to play for as Durham face Derbyshire

LV=County Championship leaders Durham this week face Derbyshire at The County Ground, Derby from Wednesday-Saturday in another crucial fixture as the end of the season approaches.

After a dominant 285-run win over Sussex at home last week, Durham moved to the top of the Championship points table and 14.5 points ahead of their nearest rival Yorkshire with three games to play.

Both Durham and Derbyshire have everything to play for.   With silverware on the line, every game is now crucial for Durham who are looking to maintain their position at the top as they face Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire (home) and Sussex (away) in their final three fixtures.

On the other hand, Derbyshire are fighting off relegation and have just the three wins in the Championships but are finding some good form at the right end of the season after defeating Somerset by 2 wickets in last week’s fixture in a close finishing encounter.

There are a couple of changes to the Durham squad which defeated Sussex last week with paceman Jamie Harrison coming back in after missing last week due to an ankle impingement which he sustained in the win against Yorkshire.  Young spinner Ryan Buckley has also been included in the squad which remains without Mark Wood (side strain) and Ben Stokes (England ODI duties).
