England Women’s Cricket Captain Charlotte Edwards said: “I’m really looking forward to the NatWest Women’s T20 Series against the West Indies in September.

“We’ve all been training hard and can‘t wait to get the series underway. We’ll be looking to show our form but will not be underestimating the West Indies; they have some big hitters in their ranks.”

“I’m sure spectators will be treated to some exciting cricket, as this will be the last international T20 series we play before we fly out to Sri Lanka for the ICC World T20.”

“We really enjoy playing double-header matches with England men and it’s a fantastic way for us to showcase the women’s game.  It’s great for spectators as they get to see two international T20 games on the same day with one ticket.”

Danielle Hazell said: “Being a Durham girl I’m really looking forward to playing at Emirates Durham ICG with the England girls. l hope the Durham members and spectators come along as get behind us.”
