Durham Cricket are delighted to announce the signing of Eleanor Larosa for the remainder of the 2026 campaign.
The Australian left-arm seamer has penned a deal for the final five group stage matches of the Metro Bank One Day Cup.
An up-and-coming bowling all-rounder with 37 professional wickets, Larosa claimed her best List A haul for South Australia in March with figures of 3/26 against New South Wales.
Representing Adelaide Strikers in the Women’s Big Bash League, the 20-year-old has 17 T20 wickets to her name in 14 appearances with career-best returns of 4/20 coming against Sydney Sixers last December.
Capable with bat in hand too, Larosa notched a career-high 55 in February 2024 before her second List A half-century came in September that year with an unbeaten 50 in a dominant victory over ACT Meteors.
The left-armer picked up 12 wickets in 11 outings for Australia Under 19s, representing her nation six times on their run to the semi-final of the 2025 Under 19 T20 World Cup in Malaysia.
A product of South Australia, Larosa made her professional debut in January 2024 before going on to make her T20 bow for the Strikers later that year in October.
On joining Durham, Eleanor Larosa said: “I’m super keen to get over and join the Durham team.
“It’s a great opportunity, and I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in with the team!”
Head Coach, Dani Hazell added: “We are thrilled to welcome Eleanor to Durham for the remainder of the season.
“She is an exciting young talent who has performed with credit in Australia across both T20 and 50 over cricket.
“She can contribute with bat and ball as we look to finish our season on a high as we aim to make the knockout stages of the Metro Bank One Day Cup.
“We look forward to her joining up with the squad this week.”
