Dynamos beat Royals by three runs

Mark Stoneman (46) and Ben Stokes (44) put on a confident 85 after the early loss of Phil Mustard.  Albie Morkel added 24 off 16 balls with the Dynamos 144-6 by the end of their innings.

The Dynamos needed to bowl tightly to defend the total and Will Smith (19 off four overs) and Man of the Match, Gareth Breese ( 3-14 off his spell), certainly delivered, although the opening pair of Jaques and Jayasuriya did score 48 in the opening five overs.

Stephen Harmison picked up the scalp of Mitchell, Ben Harmison picked up two wickets, going for thirty in his spell, whilst Albie Morkel claimed the final wicket and a run out in the final over of the match as the Royals tried to accelerate their total.  The game went down to the last ball, with the Royals needing six from the last delivery but, despite their promising start, were restricted by the Dynamos and ended up three runs short.
