Durham trio named in provisional World t20 squad

England have today named the following provisional 30-man squad for the 2012 ICC World Twenty20, to be staged in Sri Lanka in September, which includes Durham’s Ben Stokes, Scott Borthwick and Graham Onions.

England are current holders of the ICC World Twenty20 title and will face Afghanistan and India in the group stages beginning on Friday 21 September against Afghanistan in Colombo. The squad will be halved to a final 15 players next month.
