Durham row to France!

Durham’s players completed an English channel row last Friday – from the confines of the Emirates Riverside gym!

Strength & Conditioning coach Sam Clark put the players through their paces in a 41,843 metre row, the equivalent distance from England to France, on two Concept rowing machines.

It was the final challenge set for the squad before a break over the Christmas period.

Since returning to the Club in early November, the players have been put through an intensive winter training programme.

The programme included a series of strength, power & speed assessments, pilates & additional conditioning work in the indoor school.

Players were also put through their paces in spin classes at David Lloyd Newcastle & boxing as well as the dreaded yo-yo test.

Jon Lewis’ squad will now report back in the New Year as they step up their preparations ahead of the 2018 season.
