Durham are looking to get back to winning ways against Warwickshire at Banks Homes Riverside tomorrow, starting at 10:30am.
Danielle Hazell has named a squad of 13 as Trudy Johnson returns to contention after missing out on the trip to Arundel to take on Hampshire.
Durham remain in seventh place in the Metro Bank One Day Cup league table with one win from the opening five games and face a Warwickshire side who sit in fifth place with two wins and a tie.
Johnson and Mia Rogers are in contention to make their Durham List A debuts whilst Leah Dobson, Lauren Filer, Emily Windsor and Lizzie Scott are unavailable due to injury.
Warwickshire fell to defeat by 48 runs against Somerset at Edgbaston last time out, falling short after being set 298 to win by Somerset.
Words from Danielle Hazell
I think it is obvious we didn’t get enough runs on the board against Hampshire and we just have to take our medicine. We battled hard on both sides but it wasn’t enough runs and you are chasing the game throughout. We have to dust ourselves off and go again.
If we won the toss again, we would bat again. It simply comes down to not getting enough runs on the board. You aren’t going to win many games with 190. We know it is about individuals standing up and taking responsibility for their own game, and as a team we need to keep pushing ourselves forward.
Credit to Hampshire, they bowled really well, but it is the job of the batters to problem solve and counter punch. We hope to bounce back against Warwickshire on Sunday in front of our home supporters.
Squad v Warwickshire (11 May)

Opposition Corner
Captain: Georgia Davis
Head Coach: Ali Maiden
The big question: There is a tangible excitement around Edgbaston at the full integration of the women’s team into the county set up. Now can the players deal with the element of pressure that comes with expectation – and serious investment by the club – and deliver success?
Player to watch: Georgia Davis. Off-spinner Davis has thoroughly vindicated her decision to quit the police for full-time cricket by rising into the England set-up. Just back from an England A tour to Australia, Birmingham-born Davis will be looking to captain her beloved Warwickshire to success and pile up wickets to advance her international career.
Young gun: Davina Perrin. Warwickshire will look to 18-year-old Perrin for big runs at the top of the order. The Wolverhampton-born batter is an exciting stroke-player and will take confidence from her productive England U19s World Cup campaign in Malaysia in January which earned her a late call up for the A Tour to Australia.
Final thought: Edgbaston has a big place in the history of women’s cricket and all at the club would love the women’s team to add to that by hitting the ground running. There is talent in the squad and much experience in the coaching set up with Ali Maiden (Head Coach), Darren Franklin (Assistant Coach) and Kabir Ali (Bowling Coach). A new chapter beckons: Bring it on!
