The England and Wales Cricket Board have today confirmed the 2026 fixtures for the Rothesay County Championship and Metro Bank One Day Cup competitions.
The men’s domestic summer will begin over Easter weekend as Durham open their Rothesay County Championship campaign at home to Kent on Friday 4 April.
As previously agreed, the 2026 red ball format is unchanged from 2025, with two Divisions remaining in place ahead of next summer.
Durham women open their campaign with back-to-back home games starting their Metro Bank One Day season at home to Lancashire on Saturday 11 April followed by the visit of Essex to Banks Homes Riverside on Wednesday 15 April.
Ryan Campbell’s side will travel to Bristol for round two of the campaign – with trips to Lord’s, Beckenham and New Road scheduled for the early stages of their Division Two campaign.
A number of the Durham women and Head Coach Dani Hazell will travel and host Yorkshire – with the Headingley outfit joining the women’s professional set up from 2026.
Two Rothesay County Championship clashes will be played in the middle of the summer, as Durham take on Derbyshire on 12 June followed by Northamptonshire on 19 June.
The men’s Metro Bank One Day Cup also returns to July – with List A cricket being played in the height of summer once again.
Durham men will host Sussex Sharks, Glamorgan, Middlesex and Essex while going up against Derbyshire Falcons, Yorkshire, Hampshire and Worcestershire Rapids on the road.
