Durham Cricket Operations update

In light of Marcus North’s departure from his position as Director of Cricket, the club has put in place interim plans to ensure a smooth transition and continued success.

The current Senior Leadership Team will oversee the various aspects of cricket operations for the immediate future. Dani Hazell and Ryan Campbell will continue to manage professional cricket operations, with Will Gidman leading the academy pathway programme, all will report directly to Chief Executive Tim Bostock.

Their experience and dedication to the club will be invaluable during this transitional phase, as they ensure that the plans already in place for the remainder of the 2026 season are implemented effectively.

Gaining promotion back to Division One of the County Championship is the priority for the men’s team, as the women look to continue their fine form and qualify for Blast finals day for the first time.

The club recognises the importance of carefully assessing its options moving forward and will take the necessary time to evaluate the best path to take.

Our focus will be on maintaining the high standards of excellence in our cricketing operations, while considering the right leadership structure for the long term at the end of the season.
