“This announcement marks a pivotal moment for The Food Battles as we bring Argie Bhaji XL to one of the region’s most iconic venues,” said Steve Dunn, Food Battles co-founder. “It’s an opportunity to not only enjoy some of the best Indian-inspired food the North East has to offer but to celebrate culture and community in a way that’s accessible and unforgettable.”

“Durham Cricket has long been a centre for sports and community gatherings, making it an ideal setting for this culinary celebration,” said Ythan Sale, Event Manager at Durham Cricket. “We are thrilled to bring another spectacular date to our ‘CelebrASIAN’ week. With England Women taking on India on 22nd July, we’re embracing an incredible week-long celebration of culture, sport, and community that culminates in the fantastic Argie Bhaji XL festival.”

The Food Battles brand has a proven record of drawing large crowds, and the buzz surrounding this year’s edition is stronger than ever. This culinary face-off not only celebrates Indian gastronomy but also reinforces Durham Cricket’s role as a cultural hub in the region.
