Durham Cricket Foundation launches First-Ever Golf Day at Ramside Hall

Durham Cricket Foundation is set to host its inaugural Golf Day on the stunning Prince Bishops’ Course at Ramside Hall this summer, aiming to unite local businesses and sports lovers in support of grassroots cricket across the North East.

The event, taking place on 22nd August, invites teams from across the region to come together for a day of golf and networking, all while supporting the Foundation’s work to grow the recreational game and support communities.

Participants will enjoy a full golfing experience with an 18-hole championship course, shotgun start, breakfast rolls and refreshments on arrival, and a BBQ celebration to round off the day. With thrilling on-course competitions including “Beat the Pro”, “Nearest the Pin”, and “Longest Drive”, plus the chance to win a MINI for the weekend thanks to Vertu MINI, it’s set to be a highlight on the local calendar.

Chief Executive of the Foundation Graeme Weeks said: “We’re truly excited to be launching our first ever Golf Day.”

“This event is all about creating a brilliant experience for our supporters on and off the course, while raising vital funds to support the work we do in schools, clubs  and communities across the North East. We’ve planned an exciting and memorable day, and we can’t wait to welcome teams to one of the most stunning golf courses in the North East.”

The event also provides sponsorship opportunities for local businesses, including brand visibility, social media exposure and on-site marketing, offering excellent value both before and after the event.

All proceeds from the day go directly to the Durham Cricket Foundation supporting it’s mission: to ensure recreational cricket in the region thrives – acting as the sport’s governing body for 101 clubs across County Durham – and to design programmes that respond to the real needs of local communities.

From youth and disability cricket to wellbeing and social inclusion projects, the Foundation uses the power of cricket to invest in people’s futures and create opportunities that go beyond the game.

Places are limited so we encourage businesses and teams to book early and be part of a memorable day that gives back.
