Durham Cricket Board Open Spin Bowling Course – Gareth Breese
Spin bowling is playing an ever-increasing role in the modern game of cricket. The world’s leading wicket takers, Warne and Muralitharan have heightened the spin bowlers’ appeal to the new generation and 20/20 cricket has provided a huge role change for the old-fashioned English spinner. Therefore, this winter we are again running an open spin course in order to give people the opportunity to learn more about spin bowling. This does not necessarily mean players who are already established, or who have previously played in County Age Group Teams, but can include any players from your club whom you believe have some talent that may not yet have been identified at a county level, or even someone who wants to give spin a go and try it out. The sessions are open to spin bowlers under the age of 16 years old and will be held in the Indoor Cricket Centre at the Riverside Indoor Cricket Centre on the following dates:-
Thursday 27th November 5.00pm – 6.30pm
Thursday 4th December 5.00pm – 6.30pm
Thursday 11th December 5.00pm – 6.30pm
