The traineeship, Leading Edge, gives work experience and career development to young people in order to encourage the progression into an Apprenticeship.
Sophie will be supporting the Foundation in the work they do covering Education, Health and Well-being and Employability. Dave Ross, Foundation Co-ordinator, is really looking forward to supporting Sophie in her development over the next 18 months. Dave says, ‘Sophie has fitted in extremely well with the Foundation, she is enthusiastic, knowledgeable about cricket and has used her initiative to develop things already. Sophie was involved in putting up the ‘memory quotes’ around the ground.’
Sophie is excited about the opportunity, ‘Having the chance to work here at Durham is a fantastic opportunity – the Foundation does great work in the community and I am looking forward to helping to support this work.’
