Durham County Cricket Club Open Trials

Durham County Cricket Club is holding open trials on the following dates:

If you are involved in any current squad there is no need to attend these trials.  Recognised squads that form part of the player pathway would be; County Age Group sides in Cumbria, Northumberland, Cleveland, Scotland or Durham.
Within Durham players involved with Durham Cricket Board player pathway league sides or specialist skills courses are already involved and therefore do not need to attend.

Members of the School of Excellence do not need to attend.

The aim of the trials is to give an opportunity to progress to players who feel as though they might have missed selection or deserve a second chance at getting involved in the representative sides.

The trials are open to players outside Durham.

The aim of this trial is to give an opportunity to anyone who thinks they have the ability and desire to become a professional cricketer.

Due to the constraints of the registration system players who meet the ECB’s category 2 will only be accepted.  Please check the registration details on the ECB website.

The trials will involve a warm up, physical test, basic fielding / throwing exercise and a net session.

If you wish to attend either trial please register your intention to trial with Ellen Johnson(ellen.johnson@durhamccc or 0191 387 2840).  Please be ready to state your age, date of birth, address, school (if still attending), cricket club and cricket skill specialism.  You will need to report to the Indoor School 20 minutes before the session is due to start.

You should bring all your equipment with you, wear white cricket clothes and clean non-marking shoes.
