Durham CCC v Warwickshire CCC

With the weather starting to improve, we hope to get a full four days of cricket after seeing Warwickshire’s opener v Derbyshire rained off last week.

Durham’s bowlers will be in confident mood after taking 20 wickets against Somerset, with some great individual performances by pacemen Onions and Rushworth.

Durham’s batsmen have been working hard in training and have been able to take full advantage of the weather by getting some outdoor practice. We hope to see some big scores against Warwickshire in the coming days.

Head coach Geoff Cook has decided to keep faith in his squad that played against Somerset, with no changes being made. However he will be expecting his batsmen to improve to ease the burden upon his bowlers.

The lads will be back in action here at the Emirates Durham ICG next week when they take on local rivals Yorkshire in the LV=County Championship. We look forward to seeing you here supporting the players in what should be a momentous season!
