The Academy will have opportunities to train with national coaches and will benefit from playing on top quality pitches in sub continent conditions giving them the chance to develop and learn new skills.
Durham CCC has arranged several age group tours in previous years however this will be the first overseas tour for the Academy. The team will play three one day games, a two day match and a Twenty20 fixture during their time in Sri Lanka.
The trip has been funded by contributions from Durham CCC, the Co-operative Bank and the players, who have put a great deal of effort into fundraising.
