With pre-season now underway many of the Durham squad are spending their winter in sunnier climates playing overseas.

Sam Conners starred with four wickets for Western Suburbs against Gordon District claiming 4/49 as they dismissed the hosts for 261 in their two-day fixture at Blacktown International Sports Park. Conners’ side were bowled out for 225 in response.
James Minto claimed three wickets in the Under-19s World Cup Final as England suffered defeat to India at the last hurdle thanks to an outstanding 175 from 80 balls by Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
Minto returned England’s best figures of 3/63 from eight overs to take his tournament tally to eight as India made 411, whilst Caleb Falconer’s century came in vain- with Minto scoring 28 alongside him, as the Young Lions fell short by 100.
Colin Ackermann got his T20 World Cup campaign underway with The Netherlands suffering a hard-fought loss to Pakistan in the tournament opener. Ackermann made 20 from 14 balls as the Dutch side posted 147, falling to a three-wicket defeat to Pakistan with three balls remaining.
