Luke Symington continued his fine form for Norton with another half-century alongside three wickets. Barnard Castle piled on the runs at Vere Road, declaring on 285/6 from 42 overs with Luke Symington taking a trio of late wickets to claim figures of 3/34. Symington led the way for the visitors with 58 from 46 balls with five fours and four sixes but Norton were dismissed for 154, falling to defeat by 131.
George Drissell and Will Alexander claimed three wickets each as South Northumberland edged past Burnopfield by three wickets at Roseworth Terrace. Opening the batting for the visitors, Ben McKinney made 43 from 48 before becoming Alexander’s second victim as he took 3/37 while Drissell finished with 3/32 in nine overs with Burnopfield bowled out for 183 in the 40th over.
Drissell then struck 50 from 54 deliveries as the hosts made their way to a three-wicket victory in the 38th over in Gosforth.
Scott Borthwick picked up a pair of wickets in Hartlepool’s draw with Stockton at Park Drive. The hosts bowled first with Borthwick claiming 2/52 in 11 overs as Stockton made 268/9. Wilf La Fontaine-Jackson made 83 from 118 balls as Hartlepool followed up with 243/7 from their 50 overs.
