Codi Yusuf returns to Durham for second half of the season

Durham Cricket is pleased to announce Codi Yusuf will return to the Club for the second half of the 2025 season.

Yusuf who joined Durham for a stint in the Rothesay County Championship earlier in the summer, returns to the Club ahead of Friday’s Vitality Blast fixture against Northamptonshire Steelbacks.

The 27-year-old will be available for selection in the Rothesay County Championship, Metro Bank One Day Cup and tonight’s Vitality Blast fixture and will remain with Durham until the beginning of September.

Yusuf who earned his maiden Test Call up for South Africa while with Durham in May impressed with the Proteas picking up 10 wickets – which saw him finish the series as leading wicket taker.

The right-arm fast-medium bowler impressed with 17 wickets in his four Durham games at an average of just over 20 picking up a best of 4-26 over Worcestershire.

The 27-year-old has also spent time on the franchise circuit, playing for SA20 side Paarl Royals over two seasons and has 75 wickets in the white ball formats.

Marcus North, Director of Cricket said: “Codi was a great addition to Durham during his short spell with us earlier in the season.

“He was heavily invested in the Club and his performances in the County Championship have warranted his return to Chester le Street.

“We look forward to him returning to the Club this week.”
