Capacity Increased for International Twenty20

Following a surge in demand for International T20 tickets and the considerable take-up of the exchange offer to Day 5 Ashes ticket-holders, Durham County Cricket Club has decided to retain the temporary seating element of the new permanent stand for the fixture, increasing capacity to 17,500, just as it was for the 4th Investec Ashes Test.

Australia play England on 31st August at Emirates Durham ICG in both the women’s and men’s game in what is set to be another fantastic atmosphere at Emirates Durham ICG just three weeks after England won the Ashes in Durham’s first ever Ashes Test.

This increase in capacity results in approximately 1800 additional tickets becoming immediately available, priced at £40 for adults and £10 for juniors. Tickets can be purchased from the Box Office by phoning 0844 499 4466 or via the following link: http://bit.ly/R0TNSW

Fans are encouraged to get in quickly and ensure they don’t miss out on seeing one of just two matches Australia and England will play in the T20 format before a series of ODI matches.

Durham CCC Commercial Director Scott Sherrard said it was exciting to be looking forward to another International cricket match just weeks after the success of the Ashes.

“Australia will no doubt be seeking revenge but England will be looking forward to being back where the Ashes series was won.

“The women’s match could decide their Ashes. So there’s a lot to play for and two thrilling Twenty20 matches for fans to enjoy.”
