Callum Harding reports from Perth

We’ve just received an update from him and we’re delighted to hear that he’s settled in nicely!

“Whilst I am in Perth I am playing for Swanbourne CC who play in the Western Australian Surburban Turf League.  After five games we are sitting third on the ladder contesting for the top spot hoping to make the finals.

“This is my first time in Australia and I am really enjoying the experience and life in Perth.   I have managed to settle in quite quickly, securing a job with one of the guys at the club, working 5 days a week in a warehouse and delivering outdoor furniture.

“I play cricket on a Saturday and the occasional t20 game, we have qualified through the group stages on run rate in that competition which is great!

“I am living 10 minutes from Ryan Pringle so that makes it easy to stay in contact with him while we are in Perth and I’ve also been able to see Rushy [Chris Rushworth] who has been playing at Claremont, which is right next to Swanbourne.

“My aim at the start of the winter was to keeping bowling after the English season and to work on my overall fitness and bowling technique while I am out here. I’m definitely working hard and hope that it will pay off next season.”
