The Second XI won one and lost one of the T20 friendlies against Leeds/Bradford Uni at Weetwood.
With a number of trialists in the side, they prevailed in the first game but could not chase down 136 for victory in the second match.
In the first match, Durham made 125/5 as Gurman Randhawa top-scored with 32 and opener Adam Hickey made 30.
Randhawa took 2/25 and trialist Johnny Whiteoak 3/25 as the hosts finished 16 runs short of victory on 110/7.
Their success came in the second match as they successfully defended a total of 135/6.
Another trialsit, Samit Braar, took 4/25 and then top-scored with 54 but Neil Killeen’s side fell short on 125/7.
