A Summer of Cricket for Everyone: Durham Cricket Foundation’s Full Programme of Activity

Durham Cricket Foundation is proud to deliver a packed summer of cricket activities for children and young people across the region, with something for everyone this school holiday.

From fun-filled holiday camps at Banks Homes Riverside, to free beginner sessions with meals across County Durham and inclusive opportunities for children with disabilities, this summer is all about getting active, making friends and enjoying the game.

At the heart of it all is the Foundation’s commitment to creating new, accessible opportunities for every young person to get involved with cricket regardless of background or ability.

Holiday Camps at the Home of Durham Cricket

Durham Cricket Foundation’s popular Summer Holiday Camps are back for 2025, giving children aged 8–11 the chance to enjoy three action-packed days of cricket-based fun and coaching at the Banks Homes Riverside, the home of Durham Cricket.

The camps are led by qualified coaches and designed to be inclusive, enjoyable and confidence-building, whether participants are picking up a bat for the first time or already play and love the game.

And as a unique bonus, participants even get the opportunity to play on the outfield at the Riverside throughout the three-day camps, offering a taste of what it’s like to train where the professionals play.

We are running three holiday camps this summer – Tuesday, 5th August – 7th August, Tuesday, 19th August – 21st August and Tuesday, 26th August – 28th August . Please note we offer a sibling discount

Free Disability Cricket Camps

Durham Cricket Foundation is offering a series of free disability cricket camps across the summer. These sessions are open to young people with disabilities aged 8–15, offering a welcoming and supportive environment to play, learn and enjoy the game.

Run by experienced disability cricket coaches, the camps are designed to promote participation, movement and making new friendships, with fun at the heart of every session.
