Durham Cricket is delighted to be returning to Darlington Cricket Club tomorrow for our Metro Bank One Day cup fixture against Essex. Ahead of the game please see below match day information.
For members who have booked a place on the bus please park at Gate 6. The bus will leave Banks Homes Riverside at 8:45am and return at the close of play. Please arrive at the ground in enough time.

Tomorrow’s game is now SOLD OUT – there will be no tickets available to purchase on the gate.
No alcohol can be brought into the venue for this game! Alcohol can be purchased inside the ground.
There will be a designated area for disabled spectators should you wish to use this area please ask a steward for guidance on arrival.
Seating within the ground is very limited and therefore we encourage all spectators to bring their own seating.
GATE – OPENING
Gates will open at 9:30am for general admission and 9:30am for hospitality.
HOURS OF PLAY
The scheduled hours of play are as follows, but please listen for announcements of any adjustments to these timings on the day.
11.00 Start of play
14.30 (approx) Interval between innings. (30 minutes)
18.30 Scheduled Close of Play
GROUND/PITCH ACCESS
Access onto the Playing Surface/Pitch is not allowed at anytime during the match.
Spectators are recommended to bring their own chair as seating is very limited.
MEMBER ACCESS
A member’s area will be available, with a refreshment marquee and seating area. Members seating will operate on a first come first served basis, with limited seating on benches.
A designated area will be available for disabled members must please note there is NO disabled parking.
VISUALLY IMPAIRED COMMENTARY
Thanks to a team of volunteers, we will once again be able to offer commentary on this fixture.
If you wish to use this service, please head to the Members area with designated seating outside for the commentary.
SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS
Please allow sufficient time for our staff to carry out our security procedures (including bag searches and “pat – down”checks).
You can also assist with the security operation by reporting any concerns-no matter how small-to the club’s stewards. Help stay secure by staying alert; if something doesn’t look right, tell a steward or anonymously by texting location and conduct details to 07714 954990.
LEAVING THE GROUND
The pass out facility will be available to spectators throughout the day for those wishing to leave and re-enter the ground during a match.
FOOD AND DRINK
A members marquee will be available selling teas, coffees, sandwiches etc
Refreshments will be available within the ground. You are permitted to bring your own food and refreshments into the venue but NO alcohol can be brought into the ground.
Alcohol can be purchased from Darlington bar inside the pavilion.
HYDRATION
The forecast for Sunday is warm – please bring plenty of water and sun cream to keep yourself safe from the sun.
DOGS
Due to lack of space we don’t recommend spectators bring dogs to the ground.
SCORECARDS
Scorecards will be available from the box office gazebo, for THIS GAME ONLY scorecards can be purchased with cash for £1.
WHEN TO SEEK HELP
Help our stewards to help you.
Durham Cricket club wants every spectator to have a really good day at Darlington Cricket Club. However, if you do encounter a problem, please talk to the stewards.
After every match, the Club receives correspondence from Members and other spectators regarding matters which could –and should –have been dealt with promptly and appropriately on the day. Whatever the issue, please don’t suffer in silence.
Wait until a break in play to leave or return to your seat.
Movement whilst an over is in progress is probably the commonest single subject raised by Members and spectators, yet it is one of the trickier issues for stewards to have to deal with. By the time an incident has occurred, it is too late to have prevented it and the behaviour often becomes contagious within the vicinity. Please be considerate of your fellow spectators by waiting until the end of the over or suitable break in play before vacating or returning to your seat.

For this game only we will offer a basic end to end stream with no multi-camera coverage or commentary – we apologies for the inconvenience this may cause.
