Durham Men open up their home Metro Bank One Day Cup campaign tomorrow against Sussex Sharks at Banks Homes Riverside, starting at 1:30pm.
We are keen that all the spectators have an amazing experience at the games and the following guide is designed to give you everything you need to know ahead of your visit.
Please note we are expecting warm weather – please prepare with suncream and make use of the water stations around the venue.
Here’s everything you need to know ahead of attending the fixture or watching from home!
GATES
Entry to the ground will be via Gate 2 (bags), Gate 3 (no bags), Gate 6 (all tickets and bags)
Gates will open at 12:30pm
Hospitality gates will open at 11:30am with access via gate 2.

The arrangements for parking at the ground are outlined below, and parking is also available in other car parks in Chester-le-Street and these are included in the guide.
PLEASE NOTE – a number of streets around the ground are Residents Only parking and these are indicated by large yellow signs on the entrance to the streets. Please do not park in any of these areas as you may be liable to enforcement notices.
HOURS OF PLAY
The scheduled hours of play are as follows, but please listen for announcements of any adjustments to these timings on the day.
1:30pm – Start of play
5pm:5:30pm – Interval
9pm – Close of Play
VENUE
Banks Homes Riverside is a cashless venue.
TICKETS AND MEMBERSHIP
Tickets are available to purchase for this fixture from the box office at Gate 2. Adult tickets can be purchased in advance for adults at £15 and £4 for juniors. You can also buy match tickets by clicking here.
CAR PARKING
Parking is available in the council car parks outside the ground. There will be no stewarding in this area.
Members with pre paid disabled parking passes will be able to park in the ground, access being by gate 6.
GROUND/PITCH ACCESS
The match will be played on pitch 13
SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS
Please allow sufficient time for our staff to carry out our security procedures (including bag searches and “pat – down”checks).
You can also assist with the security operation by reporting any concerns-no matter how small-to the club’s stewards. Help stay secure by staying alert; if something doesn’t look right, tell a steward.
SHOP/RECEPTION/BOX OFFICE
Durham’s Welcome Hub will be open throughout this fixture.
Fans will have the chance to browse all of Durham’s retail offering in our club shop including our new range of kit.
SCORECARDS & YEARBOOKS
As part of the Club’s initiative to reduce paper waste, a scorecard will be available to purchase for £1 at the club shop. This will have both squads listed giving members the chance to fill out for their own use.
LEAVING THE GROUND
The pass out facility will be available to spectators throughout the day for those wishing to leave and re-enter the ground during a match.
FOOD AND DRINK
The Durham Cricket members lounge will be open from 12:30pm serving Lunch. Lunch will be served from 12:30pm-2pm with afternoon tea available from 4pm until the close.
The Sticky Wicket will be open throughout the day serving breakfast, lunch and dinner along with cold drinks. Please note a coffee van will be outside of the Sticky Wicket serving hot drinks.
LIVE STREAMING
This fixture will be live streamed and available to watch on the Durham Cricket website or by visiting our channel on YouTube.
SENSORY ROOM
The Durham Cricket Sensory Room will be available for use throughout all Metro Bank One Day Cup games at Banks Homes Riverside. Around the corner from the Media Centre a Changing Places facility is available which includes disabled toilets and changing space.
Changing Places Facility
Adjacent to the Media Centre under Block 5 we have a Changing Places facility which includes disabled toilets and changing space.
The new accessible changing facility meets the needs of those who require complex care and provides equipment, including a height adjustable adult-sized changing bench, ceiling track hoist system and peninsular toilet.
Our multi-faith space will be available for use throughout this fixture and is situated next to the Media Centre.
Crowd and Spectator Behaviour
You can also assist with the security operation by reporting any concerns relating to crowd behaviour – no matter how small – to the club’s stewards. If something doesn’t look right, tell a steward.
Durham Cricket is committed to ensuring that all spectators have an excellent experience, no one should have to endure anti-social behaviour of any kind. VISUALLY IMPAIRED COMMENTARY
Thanks to a team of volunteers, we will once again be able to offer commentary on this fixture for those who are visually impaired and attending the Riverside.
If you wish to use this service, please head to the media Centre, first floor and head into the BBC Broadcast suite for the fixture.
BOOK SHOP
Our book shop has reopened in the media centre. This will be open 45 minutes pre game and will be open during the interval.
