Squad of 13 named to kick off pre-season in Hove

Durham get their 2026 pre-season underway in Hove tomorrow [Tuesday 24 March, 11am] taking on Sussex in a two-day friendly.

Ryan Campbell has named a squad of 13 to head to the south coast as preparations continue to ramp up ahead of next week’s Rothesay County Championship opener against Kent.

All 13 players are expected to feature across the two days with new signing Kasey Aldridge set for his first red-ball outing in a Durham shirt after last week’s bowling camp in Desert Springs.

Overseas players David Bedingham and Kemar Roach will arrive in Chester-le-Street this week but are not expected to feature ahead of the Kent fixture.

Durham face Division One opposition in Sussex before completing pre-season preparations against Durham UCCE this weekend [28-30 March].

Squad

Kasey Aldridge, Colin Ackermann, Graham Clark, Sam Conners, Emilio Gay, Alex Lees*, Ben McKinney, James Minto, Callum Parkinson, Matthew Potts, Ben Raine, Will Rhodes, Ollie Robinson.

Words from Ryan Campbell

It is fantastic to finally get back out there, our pre-season unfortunately hasn’t gone to plan for obvious reasons but it’s great to be back in action. We travel to Sussex with a strong squad looking to get some valuable game time.

Our bowlers have come back from their trip to Spain in great condition. It was good for the guys to get back out on the grass and put some real load into their legs after a long old winter indoors. They have come back chomping at the bit to get out onto the field.

I’m excited to see Kasey Aldridge with a red ball in his hand for us and I think we will see him do some really positive things in a Durham shirt going forward, this is only the beginning for Kasey.

Now it is about really turning our attention to an important season and hopefully this week will be good preparation for us ahead of the Kent game.

Match Centre

The Club’s match centre will be in operation for the fixture with live scorecards, statistics & video highlights as they happen. Durham Cricket will provide a match report at the close.
