Durham Cricket's 2026 School's Day

Durham Cricket and the Durham Cricket Foundation are excited to invite schools from across the region to join us for a FREE Schools Day at Banks Homes Riverside on the 19th of June (10 am – 3 pm).

Open to both primary and secondary schools, the day offers pupils the chance to enjoy live cricket, take part in educational sessions and get creative at the home of Durham Cricket.

Schools attending will also receive a unique code for discounted Vitality Blast tickets in July, giving pupils and families the chance to return for T20 cricket later in the summer.

What’s happening on the day?

Live Cricket

Watch Durham Men take on Northamptonshire in a live first-class match, starting at 11 am.

Fuel the Mind

Our fantastic catering partner, Thomas Franks, will deliver interactive nutrition sessions, helping pupils understand what it takes to fuel both body and mind for performance.

Design a Durham Kit

Pupils can also get creative by designing a new Durham playing kit, and selected designs will be displayed around the ground during Vitality Blast matches in July.

11:00 am – Durham v Northamptonshire
Watch Durham’s first-class match live.

Throughout the day
Nutrition workshops and creative activities.

3:00 pm – Departure

Who can attend?

Our School’s Day is open to all primary and secondary schools across the region.

The aim is simple:

  • Inspire young people

  • Share the sport we love

  • Bring schools together for a memorable day at the Riverside.

Lunch

Schools are welcome to bring their own packed lunches. Alternatively, lunch can be provided for £5 per child.
Please book these in advance when confirming your numbers.

How to book

To secure your school’s place, simply send us your estimated number of pupils and staff attending so we can allocate tickets. At the time of booking, please also let our team know if you would like to book lunch at £5pp.
